Greg Chulski of Kenowa Hills returns in 2011 for his third varsity season.
As the only Sophomore on the roster in 2009, Chulski hit .313 while starting in the outfield.
In his Junior season, Chulski hit .446 with 3 home runs, 7 doubles and a triple.
One highlight of the 2010 season was his 6 for 7 day with 2 home runs against Comstock Park.
While helping lead the Knights to a second consecutive District Championship, Chulski was named All-Conference as an outfielder.
He is also an excellent catcher, the position he is likely to play in college.
A great student, Chulski carries a 3.7 GPA and has been named a Kenowa Hills Academic-Athlete for three straight years.
“Greg is one of the hardest workers in the Kenowa Hills baseball program”, says Greg Smith the long-time assistant for the Knights.
“He’s an “old-school” player, who thinks, acts and breathes baseball from the time he gets up in the morning to the time he goes to bed at night”.
“A real student of the game, he has a strong arm, a good bat and loves to deliver in the pressure-packed situations”, Smith continued.
“The coaching staff is expecting great things from him in the 2011 season as a three-year starter”.
Chulski plays summer and fall baseball with Elite Baseball out of Grand Rapids and will play for Jim Abbott’s top Elite 18U team again this summer.
“Greg has worked hard to make himself one of the best players in the OK Black conference”, said Bryan Baar of Elite Baseball.
“That hard work has also paid off with him getting looks from area colleges. Players like Greg make working with athletes enjoyable, he comes in, works hard and is fun to be around”.
“We at Elite Baseball are proud of his progress as a student athlete and wish him the best as he moves forward”
With college baseball as his goal, Chulski is still weighing his options.
He is currently considering schools as diverse as Creighton University, Central Michigan University and Muskegon Community College.
